Entry and parking of vehicles in the city centre
In order to ensure that Karlovy Vary preserves its unique spa town atmosphere, visitors and inhabitants are requested to observe the regulated traffic regime in the central spa zone, which limits the entry and parking of vehicles in the city centre. Each entry point to the spa zone is delimited by the “NO ENTRY” traffic sign, which is accompanied by the “MIMO VOZIDEL S POVOLENÍM A PO ZAPLACENÍ POPLATKU NA MĚSTSKÉ POLICII” (except for the cars with permission and against payment to the Town police) sign or other information signs. Parking areas and garages located along the edge of the spa zone offer suitable parking for vehicles.
Parking your vehicle at the designated parking areas or garages is an elegant way of avoiding vehicle tow away, parking boots, or fines for unauthorized entry in the spa zone, and it spares you from getting lost in the network of one-way streets.
Spa Zone
Single entry to the spa zone is permitted to hotel guests for the purpose of unloading or loading their luggage on the date of arrival or departure. Upon request, hotel guests are required to present a written confirmation of their stay (hotel reservation). The single-entry permit does not allow long-term parking (outside the hotel car park).
To enter the spa area for another purpose, it is necessary to have a one-day entry permit issued for a fee, it is issued by vending machines at the building of the Karlovy Vary Municipal Police or at the Imperial Spa. You can pay in cash with a payment card.

The funicular Diana departs at the station “Stará louka”, passes the intermediate station “Jelenì skok” and goes all the way up to the station “Diana”. It is a traditional and very popular means of transport in Karlovy Vary on the Friendship Height. It is used mainly by tourists and visitors of the city. It takes you from the lower station all the way up tp the summit, where you can visit the observation tower Diana and the Forest Restaurant, Café and Butterfly House.

ČD Bike
You can rent a bike directly at the railway station at the ČD bike rental. You can book a bike at the rental shop in advance by phone or via e-mail. If you want to make your journey easier then, you can take the rented bike for free by train on selected routes closer to the destination by transporting luggage or storage during transport.
You can also store your bike for free at selected stations equipped with luggage storage. After a day trip to explore the beauties of our nature and cultural monuments, you do not have to return the bike to the place where you rented it – it can usually be returned to other stations, where you can go again by train without paying freight for the rented bike.
ČD Bike rentals are usually in operation from April 1 to October 31 , selected rental shops are also open all year round.

Get to know Karlovy Vary from the saddle of a bicycle. We rent Specialized bicycles. It is possible to rent Specialized Rockhopper 29 and Pitch 27.5 mountain bikes for a regular rental of CZK 390 / day. The security deposit is 5.000 CZK.
We also rent e-bikes from 490 CZK / day.
For an additional fee, it is possible to rent one of the test top models. But the security deposit for those ranges from 25.000 to 50000 CZK.
